5 of The Best Online Businesses for Beginners to Start Right Now!

If you’ve stumbled upon this website there’s a good chance you’re looking at different online business ideas that you can possibly start this year, which will hopefully make you a little bit of money. Here are some good suggestions.

AFFILIATE MARKETING

Number one, that pretty much everyone should get involved in, is affiliate marketing. You have probably have heard of affiliate marketing and maybe even now are involved in it, but if you haven’t,  it is essentially recommending products to visitors to your site or YouTube channel and then get a commission if that person buy those products.

Affiliate marketing

There are tons of affiliate programs out there, Clickbank being a very popular one, but the Amazon Associates Program is a solid and very profitable one.If you’re just getting started, think of it like this. You’ve got a phone and you review it. If someone reads or sees your review  and wants to know more, you’ve inserted a link which brings them to the product on Amazon, for example. If they buy it, you’re going going to get a commission. People actually make upwards of ten thousand dollars A MONTH doing this through YouTube video reviews.

Suppose you know a little about video. You do a blog or you set up a YouTube channel and do a review on a video camera that you bought.  A good camera can cost a thousand dollars. So you do a terrific review on it, you might compare it to other cameras, or you could do a tutorial on how to use it, and when it’s finished you put a link in the description under the video or in the blog review linking to the item on Amazon. If they click on it and buy the camera in the next 24 hours, you get a commission. but it includes whatever else people buy in the next 24 hours, so it’s not just the camera. Could be they also buy a camera strap or a pair of shoes or their groceries–you are going to get a commission on it.  How much? Well, it varies from four to eight percent. For a camera it might be four percent, for a TV two percent. It doesn’t sound like much, but four percent of a thousand dollar sale is $40.00. If you end up putting up a hundred camera reviews on your channel, you can see how that can earn you a decent amount of money.

There are other affiliate programs which I would recommend with as well. The Shopify affiliate program is an excellent one. With Shopify you can create your own online store. This site has been going bonkers with growth. If anyone  signs up for that free trial and winds up taking a paid plan, which is twenty-nine dollars a month, you make a commission. And that can add up month after month and with the affiliate programs the slope of income is actually pretty good.

YouTube CHANNEL

Another business, which is now getting saturated, is creating a YouTube channel, but I still highly recommend. I know one You Tube reviewer has a channel which has 400,000 subscribers and makes on the average around $2,000-$4,000 a month.

YouTube

Admittedly, the man has been at it a while, but like any new business you have to start somewhere and build up.

On YouTube you’re looking at maybe one to two dollars per thousand views, maybe a little bit more, maybe up to five dollars, but let’s say two dollars, which is kind of the norm.   Getting two dollars each for eighty-eight thousand views generates roughly one-hundred and sixty dollars on normal ad rep rates. That’s in addition to the commissions you make with the product  review links and Shopify affiliate income. It adds up.

We’re talking about Amazon. Shopify and You Tube income. This is a monster online money-making opportunity.  If you start a YouTube channel now, it’s not just about the content you make, and you don’t have to get that many views. You don’t have to get millions of views a month, but you have to pick the right niche.

 SELL INFORMATION PRODUCTS

Another good business to start is selling an information product, which is essentially selling an online course. You’ve probably been pitched an online course by many people lately. They might want to sell you from a YouTube channel, or they might want to show you from a blog. The reason they’re doing this is because they’re highly profitable.

One example I want to share with you is a guy called Kevin, who does videos similar to the one I’m talking about, but his is the real estate niche. He has a number of different courses, and he’ll get four or five hundred dollars a course. He even offers personal coaching courses with him for twelve-hundred dollars.

If you’re knowledgeable about anything, it’s easy to create these courses, and I highly recommend it, even if you don’t think that you will be able to sell it. Once you’ve made your video and get it up, it’s pretty much all profit in the end. The great thing with a teachable course is that once you’ve made and uploaded all your videos people can keep buying them.

I could imagine that there’s at least ten people a day buying Kevin’s course, and let’s say at $400  per course which makes him a $4,000 profit per day from this alone. Another example, if you’re into photography, you could do a course on taking better photos for weddings and sell that course for $500. If you get ten people signing up for it a month, that’s $5,000 profit.  It just takes a little bit of work upfront.

I will be doing a blog post about how to create an online course here, so make sure you leave me your email if you would like me to let you know about it.

FIVVER.COM & UPWORK.COM

If you’re just getting started, and you don’t really know what to do you don’t really have a whole lot of clients I’d highly recommend jumping on to fiverr.com and taking a look at what other people are selling and what other people are producing in order to get paid. If you don’t know what Fiverr.com (notice the two “v’s”) it is essentially a website where people peddle their talents, writing, SEO, photography, web design, graphics. People are generating some good income here.

For example, you can do voiceover; you can do translation; you can do logo design; you can create articles; you can do transcriptions. You get the point. Let’s take a look at this.

Let’s say I need a logo design. I search for a graphic designer who can do it for me. I find someone who will create one for around about $15 and right next to him or her someone offers to do it for $60. Prices can be anywhere. People judge you by your experience and your portfolio.

No matter what your skill, you can just find  such a big audience of people who are willing to buy your products.  You are not a limited to a $5 per gig rate. You can start at $5 if you want and upsell. Set a minimum as an initial offer and offer a more expensive option. This goes with writing for example, x amount for 100 words and x+ for more than that.

Once you start building up reviews, you get more and more work and can charge more. Not everyone leaves a review but say you get a thousand reviews times $60 is $60,000 in just logo designs. You may offer other graphic services like website design, or brochures.

This is a great way to get started if you don’t really have a big audience, or you don’t have a website or if you just want to go to a place where a lot of people are searching for cheaper kind of design.

If you can’t write, design or do artistic types of skills, you can go to upwork.com.  Again this is I like fivver.com but it’s for  freelancers to find work  doing something like bookkeeping or being a virtual assistant. With upwork.com you can list your profile or you can apply for jobs which other people are posting. You can find really good quality people who are willing to work from the other side of the world so you can be a virtual assistant in your own apartment. Right now you could be working for someone in America or Europe of Africa. Anywhere in the world.

Here’s an example. On upwork.com I found a woman who’s good with QuickBooks who’s making fifty-five dollars an hour selling her bookkeeping services. Another in the Philippines is asking $15 for the same service.  Of course $15 in the Philippines is very good money. It all depends on who you have confidence in. They all have bios and references. Both of them get work.

PODCASTS

These days the hottest topic is doing podcasts where you can talk about anything. It can be for five, ten-minutes to a half-hour or an hour or two. I’d highly recommend jumping on

anchoredFM.com , which is a place where you can upload your podcast, and it gets shared everywhere.

The great thing about anchored FM is that you can get paid from those streams as well. If you don’t know about podcasting, it’s essentially, you plug a microphone into your computer and talk, or you can even just use your phone as a microphone, and just talk about something. These days everyone’s always listening to podcasts when they’re out walking or doing the dishes–things like that, so if you can talk about a topic they’re interested in, it’s a great way to make a little bit of extra cash. Not only can you get paid through anchoredFM, but you can also do brand deals and sponsorships. You can also sell your own merchandise, or affiliate products. It’s essentially the YouTube of audio.  If you’re not doing a podcast I’d highly recommend it.

I suggested achorfm.com because it’s very easy to get started with them. They will distribute your podcast to a whole range of different networks. They upload to Spotify, Apple, Google; they’ll put your podcasts on RSS feeds and places that you will get paid for.

It’s very easy. If you haven’t thought about doing podcasting I highly recommend it. There are all kinds Youtubers and celebrities are starting podcast now. I know  the comedian Joe Rogan has a big following on his podcast and well as Logan Paul who is an American YouTuber, internet personality and actor. As well as posting on his own YouTube channel, he has run the “Impaulsive” podcast since November 2018, which currently has over 1.8 million followers. Think about that.

These are a few  online businesses you might consider jumping into this year if you haven’t started already. These aren’t get rich quick schemes. They take some time and work, but they are well worth it if you don’t want or can’t get back to a nine-to-five job. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your perspective, this is how it is and will probably remain.
